POETRY Poets Translating Poets Festival
This three-day festival organised by the Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan is the culmination of a year-long series of engagements between poets from Germany and South Asia. The festival will feature poetry readings, discussions and music concerts at a number of venues. A week before the celebration, Geoff gets a letter saying that the body of Katya, a former lover, has become visible beneath a melting glacier. The two had gone trekking 50 years ago, when she had fallen into a crevasse. The letter ushers a flood of memories and the relationship between Geoff and Kate gets strained. To mark its 25th anniversary, the organisers of the annual Keli Festival, which promotes art forms from Kerala, will hold events over three months.
