‘The entire corridor was filled with cries’: The night when oxygen ran out in Gorakhpur hospital
At 6 am, as the oxygen ran out, a nurse handed Zahid Khan an ambu bag to pump air into his five-year-old daughter Khushi. “My hands got tired pumping, but I did not stop,” he said. But the child died at around 5.30 pm. Ishrat Ahmed, whose four-day-old son was in the neonatal intensive care unit, said: “The entire corridor was filled with cries.” Read more here.
