Prime Minister Narendra Modi caused a bit of a surprise when he took the Delhi metro on Friday from an underground station near his official residence.
Surrounded by Special Protection Group commandos, Modi boarded the metro from the Lok Kalyan Marg station to make his way to Alipur Road for the opening of a memorial dedicated to BR Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution.

Inevitably, there were references to the outrage over Modi’s silence on the rapes in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua and Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao as well.
Modi, surrounded by all the BJP MPs who have denounced the Kathua rape.
