Match summary:

TOSS: England opt to bowl first, Issy Wong comes in for hosts while S Meghana comes in for India.

First innings: 122/8 (20), India recover from nightmare start thanks to Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh and Pooja Vastrakar.

Second innings: 126/3 (18.2), England cruise to a rather comfortable series win with Dunkley and Capsey starring.

ENGLAND WIN SERIES 2-1: India did well to recover from an early batting collapse but really, England were not in any real danger during the run-chase. Capsey finishes things off with a superb 24-ball 38. ENG: 126/3 (18.2)

18.1 Deepti Sharma is in.... and bowls a full toss to Capsey that is put away. England one run away.

England 118/3 after 18 overs: Decent over from Vastrakar, but delaying the inevitable.

England 113/3 after 17 overs: How good is Capsey? Brilliant shot past extra cover for four and she has dealt with a somewhat medium pressure situation superbly.

England 103/3 after 16 overs: How not to build pressure, 101. Thakur bowls on the pads with the fielders up in the circle on the leg side and Smith hits a four. Capsey mistimes one on the offside, Hemalatha should have taken it but was in no position to do so. Poor cricket, all but over now.

Harman not going to more spin. Thakur comes on.

England 92/3 after 15 overs: How fearless is Capsey? Lovely reverse scoop for four against Rana. 7 runs in that over, will do nicely for England.

England 85/3 after 14 overs: Harman goes to Pooja for another over and it is not a bad one. Short of length stuff, fielders placed well. Capsey did start with a four but great comeback by the pacer to keep that over to six runs.

WICKET! 12.5: Amy Jones 3(5) b Radha Yadav Timber! Radha Yadav has just provided a little glimmer of hope for India here. First a maiden over and then the wicket of Amy Jones. She finishes with 1/14 off her 4 overs. England need 44 off 42. England 79/3

England 76/2 after 12 overs: Do India have to go all spin here, you wonder. Certainly help in the wicket. Hamanpreet Kaur could give herself a few overs.

WICKET! 11.2: Sophia Dunkley 49(44) b Pooja Vastrakar Assist to Radha Yadav for that Sophia Dunkley wicket. The pressure was built on for that single to get to 50 and she went for a big hoick here, straight from Vastrakar and bowled. England 72/2

England 71/1 after 11 overs: Dunkley is still one short of a half century. Great over from Radha Yadav, varying her release and landing points well to play on the nerves of the English batter.

England 71/1 after 10 overs: Dunkley is one short of a half century.

WICKET! 9.5: Danielle Wyatt 22(23) ct Radha Yadav b Sneh Rana Finally a breakthrough, Rana – no surprise – provides the breakthrough. Simple catch for Radha at long on. England 70/1

England 60/0 after 9 overs: Couple of quiet overs from Sneh Rana and Radha Yadav but quiet overs won’t quite help India.

Sneh Rana time. (Looked briefly like Harmanpreet might have a bowl.)

England 51/0 after 7 overs: The required rate is well within control and a 6-run over off Radha Yadav is perfect for England, India need wickets.

England 45/0 after 6 overs: The first couple of overs apart, the England openers have been dominant. Another four for Dunkley in that Deepti over.

England 38/0 after 5 overs: That is some sumptuous timing by Wyatt for four past mid-off and then Dunkley scores one in the same region as Shafali dives over the ball. Another good over for England, no early joy for Renuka today.

England 27/0 after 4 overs: The English openers are getting a move on. The over nearly started with a wicket as Dunkley edged one but it went over slip. But she scores two good-looking boundaries later on.

England 15/0 after 3 overs: The fielding has been good so far but a misfield by Mandhana there at the end of the over. Dunkley smacked one over the infield for a four to start that Renuka over.

England 8/0 after 2 overs: Tidy start by Renuka and Deepti, the two bowlers who kept things tight in the first six overs in Derby. Good energy on the field early on too.

Renuka Thakur to start off. India need early wickets.

India 122/8 after 20 overs: That’s a decent recovery all told. Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh with a good middle order recovery and then Pooja Vastrakar with a couple of handy hits in the final over. And a good three off the last ball... always run till the throw is in.

Richa Ghosh with a fine innings, but one has to wonder if it the selector were watching late in the night. We are unlikely to hear from them anyway, so that’s there.

India 107/8 after 19 overs: The over ends with a streaky four for Radha Yadav.

WICKET! 18.5: Richa Ghosh 33(22) lbw Sophie Ecclestone Well, that is a bit unfortunate. Surely there had to be reasonable doubt over an inside edge there because o a minor spike as the ball went past Richa’s bat. But TV umpire doesn’t think so. End of a fine innings by the youngster though. India 103/8

India 95/7 after 18 overs: That’s superb batting by Richa Ghosh! Wonderful manipulation of field placements as Issy Wong conecedes three fours.

India 79/7 after 17 overs: Three-figure mark is still a possibility here if Pooja and Richa can go hard.

WICKET! 16.1: Deepti Sharma 24(25) st Amy Jones b Sophie Ecclestone Bizarre. Deepti Sharma drags her foot out for no reason after missing a sweep, Jones has enough time to stump her despite a fumble. India 75/7

India 75/6 after 16 overs: Tidy over from Glenn, six runs off it, all run between the wickets. England won’t mind this.

India 69/6 after 15 overs: The best over of the innings for India. A four for Richa off Davies, a nice late cut. Some good running between the wickets too.

STAT: Won’t be India’s lowest all out score in women’s T20Is.

India 58/6 after 14 overs: Timed well by Richa Ghosh past midwicket for a four. Can she play a recovery innings (for herself and the team) here?

WICKET! 12.6: Sneh Rana 8(15) lbw Sophie Ecclestone Good review, England. That’s as good a yorker can be from a spinner. Ecclestone fires one in fast into the blockhole, Rana misses it and seemed ready to walk even. The umpire might have thought it was bat, UltraEdge shows otherwise. India 52/6

India 44/5 after 12 overs: The ship has been steadied a bit here. Five runs from that Wong over. India still have Richa and Pooja to come in to bat.

India 39/5 after 11 overs: The ground is where Sneh Rana played a superb rearguard innings in a Test match. India need some late heroics from her here. 4 runs from Kemp’s over.

India 35/5 after 10 overs: This is the half-way mark of the innings (assuming India can bat 20 overs) and it is all England.

WICKET! 9.5: Harmanpreet Kaur 5(14) b Sarah Glenn That is another huge blow for India. The captain is gone. Comes down the track and is beaten on length. Was either going to be stumped or bowled, the latter happened. India 35/5

India 32/4 after 9 overs: Tidy over from Ecclestone. Just five runs off it.

In comes Sophie Ecclestone as if this wasn’t hard enough for India already.

India 27/4 after 8 overs: Going to be a tough task to get to a decent score here for India. Deepti, however, is a good hand to have in these circumstances. Indian women’s lowest score in T20Is is 62, for the record.

WICKET! 6.3: D Hemalatha 0(2) ct Amy Jones b Sarah Glenn Going from bad to worse for India. Hemalatha’s comeback to international cricket has not gone to plan. Skids on from Glenn, outside edge taken sharply by Jones. India 21/4

WICKET! 5.4: S Meghana 0(9) ct Danielle Wyatt b Freya Davies end of a struggle for Meghana. What a catch by Wyatt at deep square leg. Diving forward. England have been at it from the word go (except a missed stumping by Amy Jones). India 19/3

India 18/2 after 5 overs: Good mix of length from Wong. Stays full and the finishes with a superb short ball. Meghana had no answer. England all over India at the moment.

WICKET! Over 3.4: Smriti Mandhana 9(8) ct Sophie Ecclestone b Bryony Smith Oh dear! That is a big one. Mandhana came down the track and seemed to have hit this quite well but more height than distance and Ecclestone covers great distance to complete a superb catch at long on. India 15/2

India 11/1 after 3 overs: Wicket maiden by Wong. Meghana is in.

WICKET! Over 2.4: Shafali Verma 5(12) b Issy Wong A bizarre end to a bizarre innings by Shafali. Goes well outside leg stump, Wong follows her, the ball hits the pad and then goes on to hit the stumos. India 11/1

India 11/0 after 2 overs: Over ends with a four for Mandhana off Davies but more strange batting by Shafali, who is lucky to be still out there with her edges and slices.

India 4/0 after 1 over: Oh, eventful start. There is bounce on offer, first up. Smith beats Shafali but Jones can’t gather cleanly and a stumping chance goes down. Next ball, nearly a caught and bowled.

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana in the middle. England to start with the spin of Bryony Smith.

Recap: Even by her high standards, it was quite a special innings from Smriti Mandhana last night in Derby. The four off Sophie Ecclestone was such a delightful shot.
