India won 11 medals on Saturday, the final day of the Indian contingent’s participation at the 2022 Asian Games Hangzhou to finish in fourth place in the medal tally.

The haul on Saturday was the first time India had won more than 100 medals at a singles edition of the Asian Games for the first time in the tournament’s history.

The country’s largest ever contingent of 655 athletes clinched 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze medals.

At the 2018 Asian Games, India had finished eighth overall having won 70 medals — 16 gold, 23 silver and 31 bronze medals.
