Chaos prevailed at the Mohun Bagan ground in Kolkata on Monday as the Calcutta Football League fixture between Bagan and Tollygunge Agragami was abandoned, due to a protest from Bagan over a disallowed goal at the death.

The game was locked 1-1 and Bagan's Azharuddin Mallick thought he had scored a goal in added time, only to have the referee rule it offside. This was the signal for chaos as supporters of Bagan invaded the ground along with the club officials. The match was abandoned and Goal later reported that Bagan had decided to boycott the remainder of the tournament.

According to the official Twitter handle of the Kolkata giants, Mallick's goal was the third in the game that was wrongly ruled offside. Earlier, goals from Daniel Bidemi in the first half and Prabir Das in the second half had been controversially ruled offside.

A fan account of the club also tweeted footage of the three goals in question:

“We don’t want to play the match any more. If the replay is not given, we will write a letter to the IFA [Indian Football Association]," said the president of the club Swapan Sadhan Bose, according to a report from Xtratime.
