The Premier League heads into Gameweek 4, after a two-week long international break filled with FIFA World Cup qualifiers. As players shift their focus from country to club, there are quite a few matches for Premier League lovers to look forward to this weekend.

The Manchester derby is rightly the stand-out fixture of this gameweek, but other exciting games include Arsenal facing off against Southampton at the Emirates and champions Leicester City travelling to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side.

A host of new signings including Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi are expected to be in action for the first weekend after the closure of the transfer window.

Can Southampton become the Boondock Saints again?

Claude Puel took over the Saints this summer and has the huge shoes of Ronald Koeman to fill. Koeman guided the Saints to an incredible sixth placed finish, a third successive improvement in league places in the last three years and an achievement that flew under the radar in light of Leicester's epic title win.

However, the Saints appear to have started sluggishly having lost key personnel to greater riches yet again. Graziano Pelle and Victor Wanyama were particularly hard to replace and Southampton have drawn two of their three games so far, having lost to Manchester United in their second outing.

World Cup winner Mustafi appears to be a welcome upgrade on Rob Holding and Arsene Wenger will be secretly thankful for the first appearance of the former Valencia man, having let in four goals at home to Liverpool on the first day of the season. The squad seems to be finally settling, with Mesut Ozil's return meaning that he and Sanchez will once again look to unleash havoc in tandem on opposition defences.

Hughes looks for Britannia reprieve

Stoke's end-of-season form looks to have carried over to this season as the Potters have just one win from their last ten Premier League games. This run also coincides with the long-term injury setback of first choice keeper Jack Butland. With Butland out for another two months at the very least, Mark Hughes's men will have to bounce back fast or be prepared for a long season.

With three consecutive ninth-place finishes lending further credibility to Hughes's coaching abilities, this slump has seen the ex-Man City coach come under a lot of pressure with Stoke sitting dead last in the table with a solitary point from three games.

Their opponents on Saturday, Tottenham, don't seem to be flying either but should have a routine victory at the Britannia with the absence of Butland, Xherdan Shaqiri and Ibrahim Afellay. New boy Moussa Sissoko is expected to start for the North Londoners, with Erik Lamela's late return from the South American World Cup qualifiers. Danny Rose is out after picking up a knock on England duty, and Ben Davies will deputise instead.

All bets are off at Anfield

It would take a brave man to fancy a punt at this game between the Premier League's most unpredictable club and the defending champions, who were expected to be relegated at the start of their title-winning campaign.

Liverpool's reputation as a yo-yo club continues, with a thrilling 4-3 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on the opening day, followed by a meek 2-0 surrender at Burnley the following weekend. No one can really say which Liverpool will turn up on Saturday. Phillipe Coutinho may start on the bench following a late return from Brazil duty, but the good news for Klopp is that summer signing Loris Karius is in line for a start following a recovery from a broken hand.

Their opponents shattered their transfer record by signing £29.7 million man Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon. Slimani should be good to go from the start, but Kasper Schmeichel may not start due to a hernia operation. Ron-Robert Zieler is expected to make his Leicester debut.

Chelsea look very Conte-nt

Chelsea have had a very steady start to life under Antonio Conte, although they have needed late winners from Diego Costa in two of their three matches. With nine points from a possible nine, it is a high possibility that they will make it 12 out of 12 at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Hazard's return to form will be a relief to the new manager, and the return of David Luiz to Stamford Bridge promises to bring some smiles on supporters' faces and possibly some great stand-up material.

Swansea, having lost to Hull and Leicester in successive weeks, have lost captain Ashley Williams and may struggle to find any sort of form this season. There is a faint suspicion that the squad has not been strengthened enough, and the Swans look like relegation material. This is as easy an away game as Chelsea will come across the entire season.
