Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Barbora Strycova continued their good form since crashing out of the US Open quarter-final, as they moved a step closer to clinching their third title since joining hands a couple of months ago. Mirza and Strycova dispatched Hungarian Timea Babis and Kazakhstan ace Yaroslava Shvedova 6-3, 7-6(5) in straight sets on Friday to move to the semi-finals of the Wuhan Open in China.
In the contest, which lasted for one hour and 18 minutes, the Indo-Czech pair broke the serve of their opponents four times. They now face the Chinese Taipei team of Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan, who are seeded second in the Open, in their last-four game.
