In Thursday morning's encounter of the Women's I-League preliminary round, Haryana's Alakhpura FC demolished Kerala's Quartz FC 5-0 in Cuttack. Deepika scored three goals with Sanju and Nisha chipping in with one a goal apiece to complete the 5-0 mauling.
The first half was a drab affair with Deepika scoring the only goal. However, in the second half, Alakhpura FC upped the ante and scored goals at crucial moments to win the match. Quartz FC were outplayed in all departments and will hope to get their act together in the upcoming matches.
