In a huge blow to the Indian hockey team, captain PR Sreejesh said he is doubtful about his participation in the upcoming Australia tour beginning on November 23 because of an injury.
Sreejesh had missed the Asian Champions Trophy final against Pakistan on Sunday, which India won, owing to a hamstring injury that he picked up before the match. "I am not sure, but I will try to make it into the team," Sreejesh told PTI.
The Indians will play in a four-nation tournament in Australia from November 23-27. Besides India, hosts Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia will take part in the tournament. India will launch their campaign against Australia on November 23 and then face Malaysia on November 24. India will face New Zealand on November 26, with the final scheduled to take place on November 27.
