The big news: Madrid yet to make round of 16

Real Madrid were involved in six-goal draw against Polish side Legia Warsaw in an empty stadium. Madrid will have to play the waiting game to seal their place in the Champions League knockout stage owing to the 3-3 draw. Los Blancos are on eight points from four matches, with Borussia Dortmund the only team to have qualified so far from their group.

The match was played behind closed doors owing to the crowd trouble at Legia's last Champions League clash, where they lost 6-0 to Dortmund. Gareth Bale recorded the fastest-ever goal in Champions League history to put Real Madrid ahead after 57 seconds, before assisting Karim Benzema to double their lead.

But goals by Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Miroslav Radovic drew Warsaw level, before they took the lead via a Thibault Moulin strike. However, former Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic scored the equaliser to save Madrid from a humiliating loss.
