Another goal feast was on the cards as Spain, Italy and Israel scored a combined 11 goals against their hapless opponents. The World Cup qualifiers have not seen a dearth of goals with England, Brazil, and Germany winning a minimum margin of three goals. On Saturday, Italy smashed four past Liechtenstein as Spain beat Macedonia 4-0 as well.

Andrea Belotti scored twice as Italy decimated Liechtenstein in their World Cup qualifiers, scoring four first-half goals in their 4-0 win. Ciro Immobile and Antonio Candreva were also on target as Italy stayed level with Spain at the top of Group G. Both teams have 10 points from four games with Spain leading on goal difference.

Israel put three past Albania

Israel continued their winning run as they beat Albania 3-0. The venue for the match had to be moved from Shkoder to Elbasan for security reasons. Media reports said that an alleged terror group of 15 people planned an attack during the match. Israel’s Eran Zahavi penalty gave the visitors the lead with Dan Einbinder and Eliran Atar adding the other two goals.

Wales were held to a 1-1 draw against Serbia at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. Aleksandar Mitrovic’s late equaliser for Serbia denied Wales as he cancelled out Gareth Bale’s opener.
