The West Indian women’s team completed a 3-0 whitewash over India on Tuesday with a 15-run victory in the third and final Twenty20 International in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

Chasing West Indies’ target of 140, India were restricted to 124/3 in their 20 overs. West Indies’ bowlers stifled India’s batters who could kept their wickets but could not make it count. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur tried to push for a win with an unbeaten 51-ball 60, but the asking rate was too high and India ended up 15 runs short.

Earlier, West Indies finished with 139/4 in their 20 overs. Opening batters Hayley Matthews (47) and Stafanie Taylor (44 not out) helped the side get off to a positive start. India manage to slow their progress, but the total proved good enough for the visitors to clinch their third win of the series.
