Javed Afridi, the owner of Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi, met Board of Control for Cricket in India president Anurag Thakur on Friday to seek his nod to hold contests between PSL and Indian Premier League teams, reported PTI.
Afridi, the current CEO of Haier Pakistan, visited Thakur at his residence for the meeting and presented the BCCI president with a jersey of Peshawar Zalmi.
Following the Uri attacks in September, Thakur had ruled out resumption of cricketing ties between the two countries. Afridi has reportedly proposed that games between PSL and IPL teams can be held at neutral venues.
India and Pakistan have not played a full bilateral series since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
