10-man Everton hold Arsenal short
Arsenal lost 1-2 to 10-man Everton on Tuesday at Goodison Park. With the loss, Arsenal missed the chance to go top of the Premier League as Everton secured their first win since October. The Gunners went 1-0 up owing to Alexis Sanchez’s free-kick within the first 20 minutes. Everton equalised just before half-time when Seamus Coleman made it 1-1. Ashley Williams powered home a late header to complete the turnaround.
Bournemouth stun Leicester
Bournemouth beat defending champions Leicester City 1-0 to achieve their highest league position in history at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday. Marc Pugh scored the lone goal of the match in the 34th minute for the win and took his side to the eighth spot in the table.
