The big news: Chelsea seem unstoppable
Chelsea opened up a six-point gap at the top of the table after beating Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday. Cesc Fabregas scored the only goal of the game with a sweetly taken strike five minutes to the first half. The win also meant that Antonio Conte’s side have won 10 in a row.
It was an important win for Chelsea after Arsenal slipped up against Everton on Tuesday and it means Antonio Conte’s side will be top of the table at Christmas. “When you have the possibility to kill the game you must kill the game,” said Conte after the game. “We had this possibility but we didn’t and at the end Courtois made a good save. I hope in the future we can improve.”
