The big story: Jose Mourinho feels for David Moyes

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho stated that current Sunderland boss didn’t have it easy when he took over the reins from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese also went on to say that he would have loved to have taken over a side with experienced heads such as Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, and Patrice Evra. Mourinho added that succeeding Ferguson was never on his mind. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss also opined that sackings were a part of the game. “I think a manager that is not sacked is not a manager, or at least is not a good manager. We have to be sacked,” said Mourinho. United face Sunderland on Boxing Day.
