Arsenal were demolished 5-1 by Bayern Munich in their round-of-16 Champions League clash at the Allianz Arena on Thursday. Truth to be told, it wasn’t so much a demolition as it was a humiliation.

Arsenal, who have been knocked out from same stage of competition over the past six seasons, ended the first hald at 1-1. But then all hell broke loose. In the second half, Bayern upped the ante as Thiago Alcantara, who scored a brace, along with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller smashed four goals against a clueless Arsenal defense.
