The second Youth Test between India U-19 and England U-19 ended in a draw after a 121-run partnership by George Bartlett and Delray Rawlins for the third wicket helped the visitors bat out the fourth and final day in Nagpur on Friday.
Resuming on 34/2, England were handed a setback as Daniel Houghton retired hurt. Bartlett and Rawlins though ensured their side did not face any major flutters. Bartlett scored 76 runs, while Rawlins provided perfect foil with 49.
India’s Harsh Tyagi was the pick of the bowlers scalping four wickets to deny England a smooth ride. One among his scalps was Bartlett, who departed with England on 193/5. However, by then England had stretched their lead above 200 and out of reach of the hosts.
India finally bowled England out for 255, when both captains decided to end the match in a draw.
