Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit his maiden List A ton for Jharkhand against Chattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Sunday. Dhoni hit 129 runs as he took his side to 243 after they were stuttering at 57/6. He smashed a towering six to reach his ton at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Dhoni and Shahbaz Nadeem took their team to a respectable total after the duo stitched up a 151-run partnership. Eventually, Nadeem was dismissed for 53, while Dhoni was out on the final ball of the 50th over after scoring 129 runs from 107 balls.
In the first match of the tournament against Karnataka, Dhoni scored 43 run, but it wasn’t enough to guide Jharkhand to victory as they lost by five runs.
