India women posted their second straight win of the five match Test series against Belarus with a 2-1 win in Bhopal on Friday.
Rani Rampal scored the opener for India before the visitors leveled scores through Sviatlana Bahushevich. In the dying minutes of the game, Lalremsiami struck the winner from a penalty corner.
Belarus put a much-improved defensive display after being thrashed 1-5 in the opening encounter. India, though, went into the lead with Rampal coverting a penalty corner in the first quarter.
Belarus equalised through a fine field goal through Bahushevich early in the second half. The Indians struggled to break the opposition defence down but earned a penalty corner in the final minute of the game. Young Lalremsiami showed great composure to put her side in the lead.
The third match of the tournament will be played on March 5.
