On Saturday, Olympic bronze medalist Sakshi Malik lashed out at sports minister Vijay Goel, Haryana’s sports minister Anil Vij and chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar for not delivering on their promises made after her medal-winning run at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Haryana Government had announced a financial award of Rs 2.5 crores as well as a government job after her bronze medal in Rio. The state government had also declared that she would be appointed the Wrestling Director at Maharshi Dayanand University in her native Rohtak.
However, going by her tweet on Saturday, it looks like the the government is yet to deliver on their performance. Terming it as a media gimmick, Sakshi slammed the government on Twitter.
