South Africa’s AB de Villiers scaled to the summit of the ICC One Day International batting charts yet again, pipping Australia vice-captain David Warner by four points, the International Cricket Council announced on Friday.

De Villiers is on 875 points while Warner is on 871. Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman in the top-10, lying at 852 points.

This is the 10th time that the 33-year-old has risen to the top of the rankings since first taking the spot in May 2010. In fact, he hasn’t been ranked outside the top five since September 2009. De Villiers has been in cracking form after returning to the Proteas outfit after a six-month injury layoff as his side won eight out of the 10 ODIs they have played this year, scoring 433 runs at 72.16.

Another South African, Imran Tahir continued to top the bowling charts, leading the second-placed Sunil Narine by a whopping 50 points. Pacer Kagiso Rabada broke into the top five for the first time in his career, leapfrogging Australia’s Josh Hazlewood.
