Former World No.1 Novak Djokovic, announced on Sunday that he would not be participating in the upcoming Miami Open. Djokovic’s withdrawal comes a day after top seed Andy Murray also pulled out citing an elbow injury.
“I apologise to my fans and people who purchased tickets to watch me play live at the Miami Open. Sadly, I’m injured and won’t be able to compete,” wrote the 12-time Grand Slam winner.

The Serbian reportedly flew to Monaco for treatment after Indian Wells, which saw him crash to a second defeat in three weeks against Australian Nick Kyrgios. Djokovic played in the tournament despite carrying an injury.
