Tottenham Hotspur on Friday announced that London’s iconic Wembley Stadium will serve as their home ground for the upcoming 2017-’18 Premier League season.
The Spurs needed a new home ground for the upcoming season as their current home base, White Hart Lane, will be demolished. A new home ground is being built close to White Hart Lane. Tottenham will play their last home match at their current home ground on May 14 against Manchester United.
“Wembley will be our home for a season and then we shall return to what will be one of the best stadiums of its kind,” announced Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy on Twitter.
