The 12-member team won two of the five matches it played, first against the United Arab Emirates with a completely one-sided score of 50-0. In their second match, the Indian Under-18 team posted a 17-5 win over AAS Sarcelles. Incidentally, India lost their opening match to the AAS Sarcelles on the first day of the tournament, losing 10-12 in what was quite a narrow-margined encounter.

Aside of India, the tournament featured seven teams namely, the UAE, Switzerland, the Atlantis Girls of the USA, AAS Sarcelles and the hosts represented by the Baby Paris Ladies and Comité Paris Ile de France.

Alongside playing in the tournament, which was backed by the Indian Rugby Football Union, the Indian team also visited the training facility of the French Rugby Federation. Their visit to the FFR also included a training session with the country’s national rugby development team.
