On Sunday, Australia left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc gave the WACA a magical moment by bowling the ‘Ball of The Ashes’ according to former England player Kevin Pietersen. It all happened towards the end of day four of the ongoing third Test at Perth when Starc bowled a cracker of a delivery to uproot the off-stump of England’s James Vince for 55.
Charging in with the wind at his back, Starc sent down a delivery that no batsman in the world could have played, according to many. With a hint of reverse swing due to the ball hitting a crack, the ball was angled into the batsman. However, it then seamed away as Vince looked flabbergasted when the off-stump was sent cartwheeling.
It sent twitter into a frenzy with Wasim Akram also remembering his days as Pakistan’s lethal fast bowler.
