A gutless performance from Manchester United at home to Sevilla led them to being knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 on Tuesday. Substitute Wissam Ben Yedder scored twice as Sevilla stunned Manchester United 2-1 in the second leg of the last-16 tie at Old Trafford to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Following a goalless first leg in Spain, Ben Yedder struck on 74 and 78 minutes in Manchester before Romelu Lukaku grabbed a consolation for Jose Mourinho’s under-par side. United did not attack until they had conceded the lead in the tie and by then it was too late.

After the final whistle, pundits and journalists opened fire at Mourinho’s tactics, which now have left United fighting for just the FA Cup and a top-four finish in the Premier League.
