A window of the visitors’ dressing room was found damaged at the R Premadasa Stadium following Bangladesh’s ill-tempered clash against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Nidahas Trophy on Friday.

The premises were being used by the Bangladeshi team. Ground staff at the stadium have been told to examine the CCTV footage to ascertain the reason for the damage, Cricbuzz reported.

Bangladesh won the game by two wickets in the last over to seal a spot in in the final with India. The game saw multiple clashes among players.

Things boiled over in the final over with Bangladesh needing 12 runs from the last over. The visitors protested after they felt the umpires failed to call a no ball as Sri Lanka pacer Isuru Udana bowled a second bouncer in the over.

The ground staff is expected to submit a report to the match referee on Saturday, the report added. ICC is expected to reprimand the players for their boorish behaviour on the field as well.
