At least fourteen people were killed when a bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Canada’s Saskatchewan province on Friday night, Reuters reported. The injured are being treated at local hospitals.

A semi-trailer unit collided with a passenger bus carrying members of the junior hockey team, Humboldt Broncos, on Highway #35, the Royal Canadian Mount Police said. The authorities have not released the identities of the victims.

“Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the families of our staff and athletes as well as to all who have been impacted by this horrible tragedy,” the team’s president Kevin Garinger said. “Our Broncos family is in shock as we try to come to grips with our incredible loss.”

The team was headed to play in Game 5 of a playoff series against the Nipawin Hawks.
