The Committee of Administrators has asked acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary and BCCI CEO Rahul Johri to cut short their trip to the United Kingdom, where the Indian team will headed for series against Ireland and England, Indian Express reported.
Johri was planning to extend his trip till July 8 to watch the first two T20Is of England versus India (on July 3 and July 6). Choudhary has, meanwhile, been told to spend his money (not incurring any expense to the board) to watch India’s two-match T20I series against Ireland followed by the two T20Is against England.
The CoA wants Johri to be in India to attend the Supreme Court hearing which is scheduled for July 5.
“The ICC Annual Conference is scheduled in Dublin from the 28th June to the 2nd of July and the 1st India v Ireland match is also in Dublin on June 27,” the report quoted from an email that Johri sent to the CoA.
