World Cup. Millions watching. Extra-time. Your team is trailing 0-1. And, you get a throw in. Ninety-nine times out of 100, one would expect you to swiftly get the ball to the nearest player and resume the play ASAP.
But here’s what Iran fullback Milad Mohammadi did:

Mohammadi’s amusing throw-in attempt took away about 30 precious seconds from Iran, who ultimately lost with a one-goal difference. Iran are third with three points in Group B behind Portugal and Spain, who have four points each. They next take on Portugal on Monday.
Mohammadi’s move, meanwhile, left Twitter in splits, as you’d expect.

The real highlight of Spain vs. Iran was the bloke who thought, with 20 seconds left, it would be a good idea to attempt a front-flip throw-in and completely f*cking it up. #WorldCup

#IRN player trying the somersault throw in with 15 seconds left and his team 0-1 down is the best moment of #WorldCup by far. pic.twitter.com/mOPoZoIGP5

In the 94th minute and your country needs a goal to equalise and he does this. Such an iconic moment that will never be forgotten. #WorldCup #IRASPA pic.twitter.com/r9M07sml77
