Saketh Myneni and Karman Kaur Thandi continued their terrific run this week with strong wins on Friday.

Thandi reached the final of the $25K ITF event in Hong Kong while Myneni stormed into the singles semi-final and doubles final at the Fergana Challenger in Uzbekistan.

Thandi, the second seed, overcame Zuzana Zlochova of Slovakia 6-2, 6-1 to set up a final with top seed Lu Jia-Jing of China. At the same event, India’s Pranjala Yadlapalli and partner Victoria Muntean finished as runner up in the doubles category. The Indo-French duo lost 6-3, 6-4 to Taipei’s Lee Pei-Chi and Indonesia’s Jessy Rompies

Myneni overcame the higher-ranked Cem Ilkel of Turkey in a three-set battle, ultimately prevailing 6-1, 6-7(5), 6-4. He will take on top seed Nikola Milojevic in the semi-finals.

In the doubles, he and partner Vijay Sundar Prashanth beat Roberto Cid Subervi and Ruben Statham 7-6(5), 7-6(1) to reach the final, where they will take on Alexander Pavlioutchenkov and Ivan Gakhov.

At the Ilkley ATP Challenger, Vishnu Vardhan and N Sriram Balaji, lost a tough match in the doubles semi-final, going down 6-7(2), 6-7(4) to Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies.

The semi-final match involving Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and his American partner Austin Krajicek is still going on at the same event.

At the $25K ITF event in Fergana, Riya Bhatia and partner Ksenia Palkina, seeded fourth, went down in the semi-final. They clinched the first set but went down 7-5, 2-6, 4-10 against Sofya Lansere and Kamilla Rakhimova.
