Indian golfer Aditi Ashok capped a disappointing week with a one-over 73 for a total of nine-over 297 to finish tied-63rd at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championships in Kildeer, US.

Aditi, who is playing only her second year on the LPGA Tour, had four bogeys, three of them in a row on the back nine from 12th to 14th, and three birdies.

The 20-year-old was playing her second Major of the year and had missed the cut at ANA Inspiration.

Sung Hyun Park, the sixth ranked player in the world, outlasted a three-person playoff, defeating So Yeon Ryu and Nasa Hataoka on the second extra hole to win her second major title and fourth career victory on the LPGA Tour.

Lahiri finishes tied-13th at Quicken Loans National

Anirban Lahiri played an impressive stretch at the start of the back nine as he finished tied 13th, a second successive top-15 finish for him, at the Quicken Loans National.

For Lahiri, who has been struggling with his scores this year, this is his best apart from the three top-10s he has had in the ongoing wrap-around season.

Meanwhile, Francesco Molinari won his maiden PGA Tour title and that came by a massive margin of eight shots. Tiger Woods (66) finishes fourth. Woods fought his way to a 4-under 66 that propelled him to fourth. He had six birdies and two bogeys.

Lahiri trudged along with nine straight pars but did not become frustrated. He was rewarded with a birdie on the 10th, but quickly gave that away with a bogey on 11th when he hit into the water off the tee

“It was a decent final round, but once again a case of what-could-have-been. Those two doubles in the second round were costly and some other errors cost me dearly,” said Lahiri.
