Arpinder Singh finished third in the triple jump event at the IAAF Continental Cup to become the first Indian athlete to clinch a position in top three at the event.

The Indian, who recently won gold at the Asian Games, registered a distance of 16.59m to finish behind USA’s Christian Taylor (17.59m) and Burkina Faso’s Hugues Fabrice Zango (17.02m).
