Batting first, KKR finished with 84/8 (20).
In reply, RCB finished with 85/2 (13.3).
RCB WIN BY 8 WICKETS!
A comprehensive, dominating win for Virat Kohli and Co. KKR would want to forget this result at the earliest. They were completely outplayed.
After 13 overs, RCB are 82/2 (Gurkeerat 21, Kohli 15)
Virat Kohli gets a four but Lockie Ferguson does well to come back with four dot balls to Gurkeerat. The Kiwi quick finishes with figures of 1/17. RCB need 3 off 42.
After 12 overs, RCB are 77/2 (Gurkeerat 21, Kohli 10)
Two fours for Gurkeerat, one to third man and the other to backward square-leg. Varun Chakravarthy finishes with figures of 0/28 from his 4 overs. RCB need 8 off 48.
After 11 overs, RCB are 67/2 (Gurkeerat 12, Kohli 9)
Four runs come from Lockie Ferguson’s third over. RCB need 18 off 54.
After 10 overs, RCB are 63/2 (Gurkeerat 10, Kohli 7)
Two fours for RCB! Kohli cuts one to the fence before Gurkeerat drives one over cover. Nine runs come from that Varun over. RCB need 22 off 60.
After 9 overs, RCB are 54/2 (Gurkeerat 6, Kohli 2)
Shot! Lockie pitches it slightly short and Gurkeerat punches it stylishly off the back foot past cover for four. Time for a strategic timeout.
After 8 overs, RCB are 48/2 (Gurkeerat 1, Kohli 1)
A fine over from Varun, just two from it. RCB need 37 off 72.
In the last game Fergusan was the best #KKR bowler on this surface. He doesn’t get to bowl in the power-play overs while the team is defending a paltry total. He comes to bowl when #RCB needs 39 to win. 🤔🧐 #IPL2020 #KKRvRCB

Lockie Ferguson comes into the attack and gets the wicket of Finch. This is followed by a run-out and Padikkal departs.#RCB two down with 46 runs on the board.#Dream11IPL pic.twitter.com/CjI1PDSot8

After 6.4 overs, RCB are 46/2 – Padikkal is gone!
OUT! KKR have two wickets in the space of three deliveries! Devdutt Padikkal is run-out after a horrible mix-up with Gurkeerat Singh Mann. Virat Kohli is in.
After 6.2 overs, RCB are 46/1 – Finch is gone!
OUT! Lockie Ferguson is brought on after the powerplay and he strikes immediately. Aaron Finch departs for 16 off 21 (edged it to the keeper) but RCB remain in firm control.
WTF, KKR?! No Lockie at all in PPs?
— Prem Panicker (@prempanicker) October 21, 2020
On another note: When Karthik was captain, Morgan was setting the field. Now Morgan is captain, Karthik calls the play. 🙇♂️
After 6 overs, RCB are 44/0 (Padikkal 24, Finch 16)
Varun Chakravarthy joins the attack and Devdutt Padikkal cuts one for four. That’s the end of the powerplay.
After 5 overs, RCB are 37/0 (Padikkal 18, Finch 15)
Four! Cummins drifts on to the pads and Finch flicks it for a boundary. RCB are moving along nicely.
After 4 overs, RCB are 28/0 (Padikkal 15, Finch 9)
Shot! Padikkal stylishly lifts one for four on the off side. Finch then clips the last ball to the fine-leg fence. 13 runs come from Prasidh’s second over.
After 3 overs, RCB are 15/0 (Padikkal 7, Finch 4)
RCB get their first boundary as Padikkal finds the gap. Cummins hasn’t looked threatening so far.
Couldn't have tossed the new ball to Lockie and let him off the leash? Tell him "Give us four super overs"?
— Prem Panicker (@prempanicker) October 21, 2020
After 2 overs, RCB are 8/0 (Padikkal 2, Finch 3)
Prasidh Krishna too concedes four runs in his first over. Still no harm done to RCB.
After 1 over, RCB are 4/0 (Padikkal 1, Finch 1)
Cummins bowls a tight line but RCB pick up four runs in the first over. KKR have no time to waste here. They have to start chipping away to have even a remote chance.

Before this game:
Economy of 9.29 in IPL - the WORST among 92 bowlers who have bowled 100+ overs in IPL history.
This game:
Economy of 2.00 - BEST in an innings in #IPL2020 #RCBvKKR
KKR's total 84/8 is the lowest by an #IPL side batting full quota of 20 overs and not losing all 10 wickets!

KKR innings summary:

KKR FINISH WITH 84/8
Kuldeep Yadav is run-out off the last ball of the innings. A phenomenal all-round bowling performance from RCB!
After 19 overs, KKR are 74/7 (Kuldeep 7, Lockie 14)
Four overs. Eight runs. Three wickets. A sensational spell of fast bowling from Mohammed Siraj!
And to think #RCB traditionally have struggled in their bowling department over the years! Top effort from them. #KKRvRCB
— RK (@RK_sports) October 21, 2020
After 18 overs, KKR are 68/7 (Kuldeep 4, Lockie 11)
Chris Morris concedes three runs in his third over. KKR would want to touch 80. That’s not a sentence we expected to write at the start of this game.
After 17 overs, KKR are 65/7 (Kuldeep 4, Lockie 8)
Lockie Ferguson gets a four thanks to an outside edge past Virat Kohli. Yuzvendra Chahal’s final figures: 4-0-15-2. Washington Sundar’s final figures: 4-1-14-1. Superb from the RCB spinners!
After 15.4 overs, KKR are 57/7 – Morgan is gone!
OUT! Eoin Morgan is gone! That’s the wicket RCB wanted and Washington Sundar has done the job. The KKR skipper tries to get back-to-back fours but finds the fielder, he walks back for 30 off 34.

After 15 overs, KKR are 52/6 (Morgan 26, Kuldeep 3)
A welcome boundary for KKR! Saini pitches it short and Morgan pulls it for four. Time for a strategic timeout.
After 14 overs, KKR are 46/6 (Morgan 21, Kuldeep 2)
Another tidy over by Sundar. Captain Morgan must be considering a counter-attack. He’s running out of partners.
4 maiden overs by RCB bowlers today.
— Bharath Seervi (@SeerviBharath) October 21, 2020
2 by Siraj
1 by Morris
1 by Sundar
Before this, never more than 2 maidens were bowled in an IPL innings. #IPL2020 #RCBvKKR
KKR knocked over RCB for 49 in 2017. The wheel has turned....
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) October 21, 2020
After 12.3 overs, KKR are 40/6 – Cummins is gone!
OUT! Chahal gets his second wicket! Cummins tries to break the shackles but finds the fielder in the deep. KKR are in a MASSIVE hole!
After 12 overs, KKR are 39/5 (Morgan 16, Cummins 4)
Another maiden over! The RCB attack is putting on a show in Abu Dhabi! Washington Sundar bowls off-spinners, straight deliveries and leg-cutters to complete dominate Pat Cummins in that over. The Aussie survives a close LBW shout.
Kohli’s captaincy today 🎯#KKR best in-form overseas batsman on the pitch though.... #KKRvRCB #IPL2020
— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) October 21, 2020
After 11 overs, KKR are 39/5 (Morgan 16, Cummins 4)
Chahal concedes just three runs in his second over too. RCB are attacking all-out at the moment.
After 10 overs, KKR are 36/5 (Morgan 15, Cummins 2)
Washington Sundar joins the attack and concedes just three runs in his first over. The RCB attack is relentless at the moment. It all depends on this pair for KKR, the Aussie and the Englishman have to try and stay till the end.
After 9 overs, KKR are 33/5 (Morgan 13, Cummins 1)
Pat Cummins survives first ball! This time the umpire raises his finger for LBW but DRS shows the ball would miss leg stump. A wicket and three runs from Yuzvendra Chahal’s first over.
Eoin Morgan’s decision to bat first has boomeranged badly. Siraj, Morris, Saini, Chahal have bowled well, but some of the strokes olayed by #KKR top order were thoughtless
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) October 21, 2020
After 8.4 overs, KKR are 32/5 – Karthik is gone!
OUT! Yuzvendra Chahal strikes in his first over! Virat Kohli takes the review in the nick of time and Dinesh Karthik is out LBW for 4 off 14. KKR have lost half their side with 32 runs on the board!
After 8 overs, KKR are 30/4 (Karthik 3, Morgan 12)
SIX! Saini pitches it short and Morgan pulls it for a maximum. Positive batting from the KKR skipper.
What a first over that was from Mohammed Siraj! Watch his double strike here:
After 7 overs, KKR are 23/4 (Karthik 2, Morgan 6)
Shot! Isuru Udana joins the attack and pitches it on a length, Eoin Morgan takes his front foot out and drives it between cover and mid-off for four. Six runs come from the over.

And it's @RCBTweets - Siraj 2 and Morris 1. #IPL2020 #RCBvKKR

It's the most wickets lost in a Powerplay this season.#IPL2020 #KKRvRCB
After 6 overs, KKR are 17/4 (Karthik 1, Morgan 1)
Just two runs from Siraj’s third over. That’s the end of the powerplay. KKR have a mountain to climb.
After 5 overs, KKR are 15/4 (Karthik 0, Morgan 0)
Another good over for RCB, this time by Morris. What a collapse this has been for KKR. Siraj and Co have been brilliant but the men in purple have themselves to blame too.
RCB's Mohammed Siraj has figures of 2-2-0-3 in the IPL game against KKR. Never thought I'd see the day in a T20 game...

What a spell from Mohd Siraj. He is a quality red ball bowler and he has bowled like that here. 3-0 in 2 overs! So different from bowling at the death at that cruel Chinnaswamy Stadium.
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) October 21, 2020
This is the second time in their history that KKR have been four down in the first four overs - and the first time since 2012. #IPL2020 #KKRvRCB

KKR won the toss and opted to implode first. 🤷♂️

Tom Banton departs for 10.#KKR 14/4 https://t.co/XUEBCQIfuL #Dream11IPL pic.twitter.com/nJwwEpO5yS
After 3.3 overs, KKR are 14/4 – Banton is gone!
OUT! Mohammed Siraj strikes again! The right-arm quick has picked three wickets in the nine balls he has bowled so far. This time Tom Banton edges it to the keeper. Another poor shot from a KKR batsman.
That double-wicket maiden from Mohammed Siraj was just the fourth one ever bowled by an #RCB bowler. Anil Kumble, Samuel Badree, and Dillon du Preez have also taken two wickets in a six ball over, for no runs. #IPL2020 #KKRvRCB

"Attack with the ball, defend with the field" - one of Warne's T20 dictums. Shiraj providing a demonstration.
— Prem Panicker (@prempanicker) October 21, 2020
After 3 overs, KKR are 13/3 (Banton 10, Karthik 0)
Shot! Tom Banton hits a straight drive for four before pulling one for a flat six. Top shots from the English right-hander. Ten runs and a wicket from that Navdeep Saini over.
After 2.2 overs, KKR are 3/3 – Gill is gone!
OUT! And now Shubman Gill is gone! Poor cricket from the young right-hander. Navdeep Saini gets the wickets as RCB take firm control of the match.
After 2 overs, KKR are 3/2 (Gill 1, Banton 0)
A double-wicket maiden from Siraj. Sensational over for RCB.
After 1.4 overs, KKR are 3/1 – Rana is gone!
OUT! Two in two for Mohammed Siraj! This is wonderful swing bowling from the right-arm quick. Nitish Rana is clean bowled off the first ball. KKR are in trouble!
After 1.3 overs, KKR are 3/1 – Tripathi is gone!
OUT! RCB strike early! A wonderful delivery from Mohammed Siraj and Rahul Tripathi edges it to the keeper.
After 1 over, KKR are 3/0 (Gill 1, Tripathi 1)
Tidy first over from Chris Morris, just a wide and couple of singles. The South African pacer has been impressive ever since he’s come into the side. RCB will be hoping he fires again tonight.
7.30 pm: We’re ready for play in Abu Dhabi! Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi are opening the batting for KKR. Chris Morris has the new ball in hand for RCB. Here we go!
