11.18 pm: Player of the series Virat Kohli – “It was a complete game for us, we totally outplayed the opposition. A great game for us. We won two of the three games I scored in, so happy with the returns. I enjoyed all the partnerships today, it was a clinical performance by us. I am going to open in the IPL as well. T20 cricket is about having your two best players at the top. So I’m looking forward to opening with Rohit in T20s, because if one of us get going we’re going to be set.”
11.14 pm: Player of the match Bhuvneshwar Kumar – “It’s good to be back. I am feeling quite good, body-wise. Always good to take some wickets with the new ball. Got confidence playing a few domestic games.”
11.12 pm: Eoin Morgan – “I think the series was extremely productive. Today was another fantastic game. India outplayed us in the key moments and deserve the win. Regardless of what we’re chasing, we believe we have the talent in the group to give it a crack.’
11.02 pm: What was the game plan? Hardik: We just wanted to make sure that the batsmen don’t get what they are waiting for. Slower balls, other variations... that’s what is done in T20s.
11.00 pm: How does it feel to be the new ball bowler? Hardik: It just feels like a slightly newer ball. That’s it.

WICKET! Six and out! Shardul gets his third as Jordan pulls it to Suryakumar in the deep. Adil Rashid is the next man in.

WICKET! Archer is run-out thanks to some good work by Suryakumar and Pant. England have Curran and Jordan at the crease now.
After 18.3 overs, England are165/6 – Ben Stokes is gone!
WICKET! Natarajan gets the big wicket of Stokes and this contest is all but over. The left-hander attempts a slog and edges it to Pant. The last 27 balls have had 29 runs and four wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowls three wides in his final over but finishes with sensational figures of 2/16 from his four overs. It was his wicket of Jos Buttler in the 13th over that triggered the turnaround for India.

Two fours for Stokes in that Natarajan over. The left-arm pacer had the opportunity to run the left-hander out off the last ball but couldn’t hit the stumps. England need 69 off 18.

WICKET! And another one bites the dust! This time Morgan hits it to Rahul at long-on and Hardik gets the wicket. What a dramatic turnaround this has been.

WICKET! Shardul Thakur gets his second wicket of the over and this time it’s the dangerous Dawid Malan who is clean bowled. The left-hander walks back for a superb 68 off 46. Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes are at the crease now. England need 83 off 30.
After 14.3 overs, England are 140/3 – Jonny Bairstow is gone!
WICKET! And India have another one! This time Shardul strikes as Jonny Bairstow Suryakumar Yadav at deep extra-cover. This has been an incredible fightback with the ball by India, triggered by that sensational 13th over from Bhuvneshwar.

Another good over for India, just six runs from it. Hardik mixes things up well and doesn’t bowl a loose ball. It has been 23 balls since England hit a boundary. England need 89 off 36.

WICKET! Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to the attack and gives India the breakthrough. Jos Buttler departs for 52 off 34 after hitting it to long-off. Superb bowling from the senior pacer! Jonny Bairstow is the new batsman. England need 95 off 43.

FIFTY for Jos Buttler! The right-hander gets there in 30 balls with two fours and four sixes. His partnership with Dawid Malan has put England in a strong position. Seven runs came from that Chahar over.

4, 0, 6, 4, 1, 1 – Huge over for England as Malan goes after Natarajan! The left-hander is timing the ball wonderfully and picking boundaries with ease. Lots to worry about for Kohli at the moment.

Another good over for England, 13 runs from it. Rahul Chahar drops it short and Jos Buttler rocks back to pull it with ease for a six.

Four! Hardik returns to the attack and bowls a full off-cutter with mid-off in the ring, Malan says thank you very much. The England innings is moving along nicely. India have to break this stand soon.

Two sixes for Buttler! The right-hander is in sublime form at the moment. Chahar tosses it up and gets hit straight back, he then drops it short and Buttler lifts it off the back foot over long-off for another maximum.

Another good over for India, just five runs from it. Shardul makes a good comeback after getting hit in his first over. Rahul Chahar is into the attack.

Good over for India from Natarajan, just seven from it. That’s the end of the powerplay, Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan have kept up the run-rate and got England to 62/1 after Jason Roy fell early.

Another big over for England! Buttler plays an effortless pull for six before Shardul drifts down leg and Malan clips it for four to the fine-leg fence. Buttler mistimes the last ball but it falls safely. T Natarajan is finally into the attack.

Virat Kohli and Co were asked to bat first and they’ve put on a mammoth total. Half-centuries by the skipper (80* off 52) and Rohit Sharma (64 off 34) have guided the hosts to a solid position at the halfway stage. Suryakumar Yadav (32 off 17) and Hardik Pandya (39* off 17) made valuable contributions as well. This is India’s highest total against England in a T20 International.

6, 6, 1, 0, 4, 2 – Big over for India! Hardik pulls Jordan for two maximums before Kohli threads the gap between short-third and backward point. Final six balls coming up, India will be eyeing 230.

Back-to-back fours for Kohli! Wood did well to concede just two singles off the first three balls but the India captain got the boundaries off the next two deliveries.

Four! Jordan goes short and Hardik stays tall and slaps it through cover and mid-off. Eleven runs from that over. India are on their way to get close to 220.

WICKET! Chris Jordan, what have you done?! One of the finest catches you’ll ever see! Surya hit one off Rashid to the right of long-on, Jordan ran across and caught it with one hand before tossing it to Jason Roy before running beyond the rope. That was absolutely sensational! Surya departs for 32 off 17.

Shot! Kohli comes down the track and whacks one off Stokes over long-on for a six. But Stokes does well to concede just three runs off the next five balls.

Four fours in the over! Surya absolutely toyed with Jordan in that over! First Kohli whipped one for four before Surya played two brilliant scoop shots for boundaries. But the best shot of the lot came off the last ball as Surya guided a Yorker through backward point and short-third for four. Wow!

WICKET! Oh dear, Rohit Sharma has hit one on to the stumps. The end of a sensational knock from the right-hander. Ben Stokes gets England the breakthrough as Rohit walks back for 64 off 34.

FIFTY for Rohit Sharma! What a knock in a crunch game by Rohit! He gets to a half-century off 30 balls with his fourth six of the innings.

SIX! Chris Jordan joins the attack and does well in the first five balls but Rohit ends the over with another pull for six. India keep up their scoring-rate of ten runs an over.

TWO SIXES! First Kohli hooks Wood for a maximum. Big smile on the India captain’s face after that cracking shot. Then Rohit plays his classic front-foot pull for six in the same direction. The end of a fantastic powerplay for India!

Archer bangs it in and the ball bounces over the keeper for five wides. Nine runs from that over. India have had a solid powerplay so far.

Two fours for Rohit with cracking shots! Mark Wood joins the attack and the right-hander hits two sumptuous drives past the right-arm quick for fours. Rohit is timing the ball wonderfully.

SIX! First maximum of the match and it comes from Rohit’s bat. Rashid tosses it up and the right-hander whips it over mid-wicket. There was an LBW appeal earlier in the over, with England losing a review. The ball was missing leg comfortably.

Two cover-drives and two fours for India! First, Kohli smashes it in the air for India’s first boundary before Rohit finishes off the Jofra Archer over with an elegant drive for four.

A good over and some sharp turn for Rashid first up. The leg-spinner strikes Kohli on the pad off the last delivery but the ball seemed to be going down leg.
