A manhunt has been launched in the region to nab the attackers, an official said.
A Central Reserve Police Force officer was killed and another one injured on Sunday during an exchange of fire with a group of Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district. The incident occurred in a forest of the state's worst insurgency-hit district during an anti-Naxal operation by the CRPF, an official told the Press Trust of India. A manhunt has been launched in the region to nab the attackers, he added. The attack took place a day after a Naxal, carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head, was arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district.
