Around 53% of the electorate voted in the third phase of the Bihar elections on Wednesday, according to Press Trust of India.

Out of the 50 seats being contested on Wednesday, important constituencies include Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s home turf Saran and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar’s district Nalanda. Two of Prasad’s sons are also candidates in Mahua and Raghopur.
