The Indo-Swiss pairing of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis on Sunday won their ninth title of the year after a 6-0, 6-3 thrashing of Spaniards Gabrine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro in the 2015 WTA finals at Singapore. The top-seeded pair took a little over an hour to win the match, two days after securing the Women’s Tennis Association year-end World No 1 doubles ranking. Mirza and Hingis did not lose a single set in the entire tournament. They are also unbeaten in 22 matches, stretching back six tournaments.
The pair have a 9-1 record in tournament finals this season, with two Grand Slam titles (Wimbledon and the US Open), five WTA Premier titles (Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wuhan Open, China Open), and one WTA International title (Guangzhou International Women's Open).
