More than 50 people were injured and another 150 are feared to be trapped under debris after the building's roof caved in.
At least 18 people were killed, and more than 50 injured after the roof of a factory collapsed near Lahore in Pakistan on Wednesday. Senior government official Mohammad Usman said only around 75 people have been rescued so far. A rescue worker, Kashif Nazir, told Reuters that at least 150 people were believed to be trapped inside, and the entire factory building has come down. The army said it was deploying specialist search teams and engineers to help the effort. Reuters reported that workers trapped in the rubble have been using their mobile phones to call for help.
The four-storey factory produced shopping bags and is about 20 km from the city of Lahore.
