Patanjali will resolve noodles license wrangle with food regulator, says Baba Ramdev
The yoga guru said that his company had got the approval from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to sell its snack.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said that representatives of his Patanjali company will call on the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to sort out the matter concerning the selling license of its instant noodles brand amicably. Ramdev said that his company will show original copies of the selling licence, along with the licences of other companies that have a contract to produce the noodles for Patanjali. Ramdev said, “It seems there is an issue of lack of coordination and it could be resolved by sitting together. We have got [the] approval from FSSAI."
On Wednesday, The Indian Express had reported FSSAI chairperson Ashish Bahuguna saying that Patanjali did not have an approval or licence from the food regulator for its instant noodles. Minister of Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the matter is "between the Ministry of Health and Baba Ramdev".
