Indian Super League: Goa clinch semi-final place, romp home 5-1 against Kerala
Reinaldo's hat-trick was enough for Zico's men to become the third team to clinch a last-four spot.
FC Goa clinched a semi-final place in style, running out 5-1 winners against Kerala Blasters at Kochi. With this win, FC Goa also went into second place with 22, displacing Delhi Dynamos though they still have an extra game to play.
Kerala, rooted to the bottom of the table, flattered to deceive with an early goal by Pulga as early as the second minute. However, it all went downhill from there as Goa kicked up their game and tore Kerala's defence to shreds. Reinaldu set up the equaliser for Joffre in the 12th minute before putting Goa in front in the 29th minute. There was further misery at the stroke of half-time for Kerala as Josu was sent off.
Goa made full use of their numerical advantage, Reinaldo scoring again into an empty net five minutes after half-time. He completed his hat-trick with a tap-in from Sabeeth and Goa were coasting their way towards the last four. To complete the humiliation, Mandar Desai added a fifth in the 64th minute to put the result beyond any doubt.
