Two suspected terrorists arrested in Delhi
They were planning to carry out attacks in the capital during Christmas and New Year's, said the police.
Two suspected terrorists were detained by the Special Cell of the Delhi police in the capital on Wednesday. The police said the two are operatives of a militant organisation and were planning terror attacks in Delhi on Christmas and New Year's.
PTI reported that the two are natives of Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district. Special Cell teams are conducting searches at several places in UP and tracking potential operatives of the organisation, which officials are refusing to name.
The pair arrested were already being tracked by the police and disappeared two years ago, when they were believed to have attended training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Earlier this month, Special Cell officials registered a case about two suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives who were seen in Delhi.
