A new Islamic State video has surfaced in which a man speaking with a British accent is seen shooting to death five alleged British spies, The Washington Post reported. The balaclava-clad man is already being compared to Mohammed Emwazi, who was better known as Jihadi John. He was reportedly killed in airstrikes conducted by the United States in November.

Labelled the "new Jihadi John" by the British media, the man is seen in the new video standing behind five hostages dressed in orange jumpsuits, including a young boy aged six or seven, who also spoke with a British accent.

The man refers to the British airstrikes in Syria and addresses British Prime Minister David Cameron directly, calling him a "slave of the White House" and a "mule of the Jews" In response, Cameron said it was "desperate stuff" from a group that is "losing territory" and "increasingly losing anybody's sympathy".

The authenticity of the video could not be verified, but the BBC reported that security and intelligence agencies in the United Kingdom are examining it. UK security agencies on Sunday began their hunt for the man who appears to be a British national, The Guardian reported.
