The India women's cricket team chased down a reduced target of 66 in the second Twenty20 match against Australia to win by ten wickets. Having won the first game and with only one more to go, they have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

The match was reduced to 18 overs because of rain, with the Australian team being put in to bat. They got off to a poor start, losing wickets at regular intervals to finish at 125/8 in their 18 overs. Jhulan Goswami was the pick of India's bowlers, picking up 2/16 from her four overs.

India got off to a breezy start when they started their chase, getting to 52 off 7.5 overs without losing a wicket. A brief rain delay interrupted the set and the target was reduced to 66 off ten overs. The openers, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj quickly got the rest of the runs, guiding their team to an easy victory.
