As the controversy over alleged anti-national sloganeering at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi entered its second week, the website of the varsity's library was hacked on Tuesday. The hacking by "Bl@Ck Dr@GoN" and "H4x4rwow" was announced on the Facebook page of the Indian Hacker's Online Squad. After it was breached, the website carried messages against the 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. It also had messages such as, "We will kill each and every person that will go against the nation."
The hacked website was soon disabled by the authorities and taken down. Officials from the library told PTI, "The hacking of the website was noticed after office hours. The matter has been reported to the university's IT department and measures are being taken to rectify it. No official complaint has been made in this regard yet."
