At least four dead, 20 injured after man goes on shooting spree in Kansas
The assailant was gunned down by the police at his workplace in the city of Hesston.
A man opened fire at three locations in Kansas on Thursday and killed at least four people before he was gunned down by local police. Around 20 people have been injured, though the numbers are expected to rise. The man's shooting spree ended at his workplace, the office of a lawnmower manufacturer, in the city of Hesston. The shootings come less than a week after an Uber cab driver shot and killed six people in Michigan.
Harvey County Sheriff T Walton told AFP that the number of victims could rise to seven, as some are critically injured. The gunman, Cedric Ford, was a painter at the local factory, and reportedly had a long criminal record that included illegal possession of weapons. Gun violence kills around 30,000 people in the United States every year.
