Police books Andhra Pradesh social welfare minister's son for molesting woman
In her complaint, the 20-year-old teacher said Susheel, in an inebriated condition, passed lewd comments and tried to pull her inside his car in broad daylight.
The Hyderabad police on Saturday booked Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu's son and his driver for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old teacher in Banjara Hills. PTI reported that the minister's son Susheel, in an inebriated condition, passed lewd comments and tried to pull the woman inside his car at around 4 pm on Thursday. The accused's driver M Ramesh was at the wheels at the time of the incident.
The relatives of the woman had claimed that police was not initiating action against Susheel, who has denied the allegations. In his Facebook post, the accused said the "events which are being portrayed in the news channels are completely made up and totally false." He said he had stopped his car to pet a puppy on the road, when the complainant "who was was near the vehicle without any specific reason started abusing him and shouting at him". In his post, he also said the incident was exaggerated and stretched for political gains.
