Hillary Clinton takes Mississippi, Bernie Sanders takes Michigan, and Donald Trump takes both
Ted Cruz won the Republican primary in Idaho.
Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump won three more primaries in the run up to the United States elections on Tuesday – Michigan, Hawaii and Mississippi. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won Mississippi comfortably, but her rival Bernie Sanders won by a small margin in Michigan. Ted Cruz won the Republican Primary in Idaho, while the votes for the one in Hawaii are still being counted. The primary elections help both parties nominate their eventual candidate for the presidential race.
While the controversial Trump has won several primaries and caucuses, experts are now doubting how strong his lead really is, after he fared poorly at the most recent debate and Texas Senator Ted Cruz won some important states, the BBC reported. The Republican establishment has been vocally against Trump, and it appears that only Cruz can give him some competition, with another once-strong candidate Marco Rubio failing to impress.
